Look What Showed Up at Goodwill! (Giveaway)

We all know that Goodwill gets clearance or returned items from Target. I’ve heard that Target donates it; I’ve also heard that Goodwill buys it by the lot. I’m not sure which is true, and I guess it doesn’t really matter. What it means is a good deal on new merchandise for us thrifty shoppers.

And today, this is what I found.shower curtian No, your eyes do not deceive you. It is THE shower curtain. The one I used to make a window treatment. The one that Melissa used. The one Wendy made drapes out of (love these, may need to copy). There’s been a lot of chatter about it around blogland.

There were two, and I got them both, for more than I paid a few months ago when I got them on clearance at Target, but still at a pretty good price. I checked, and one recently sold on ebay for $59—ridiculous! So, I currently have one of mine listed, not for $59, but for more than I paid. That’s kind of a test case; if it doesn’t sell, I have seven days to return the ones I got at GW if I want to.

And you, dear readers, have a chance to win one! I’m having a giveaway! We’ll just say it’s in honor of my 200th post, which is coming up within the next week or so. I'll draw a winner on Thursday, June 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Just leave a comment for one entry. Blog about it for a second entry and leave another comment to let me know you did. Good luck!

Contest open to residents of US and Canada only.

I do not have a blog, but I read yours faithfully! I have looked everywhere for this shower curtain. I hope I win as my 48th birthday is on the 12th and I am re-doing the bath that I want to put the shower curtain in. You are blessed to live in an area with such a great Goodwill! Thanks, Bonnie

I don't know if any of the Goodwills around here have new things from Target, I guess I need to look around more!

I know what you mean about Goodwill charging more than Target did for merchandise. I run across that all the time. I actually have decided that I will not shop at Goodwill because they're getting outrageous with their pricing. I stick with Volunteers of America and Salvation Army.
As for the curtain, I must be living under a rock! I hadn't read about it yet, but I must say that I L.O.V.E. the print!

I have a sad story about that shower curtain. I had two of them in my buggy at the clearance price....then when other things I needed piled up in my buggy, I let logic take over and put them back, because I didn't really NEED them.....and have been sick over it ever since. I should have NEVER let logic creep in, because now I can think of forty seven things I want to do with it.....sigh. I'm gonna go blog about it, keeping my fingers crossed. And what a sweetie you are, Holly, to have a giveaway for one of them...you KNOW we all want one!!!:)

I don't normally enter giveawasy b/c I don't ususally have much luck. But, I am joining the coveting crowd for this shower curatin and adding my name, if I may. I will also add a link/post to my bloggy to announce it. If I don't win, I might be forced to go to eBay and bid on the "ridiculously" priced one. I really don't wanna do that, so please choose me. LOL

Thanks for the very nice give-away!

I probably would actually just use it as a shower curtain! This would be perfect for a classy kids bath shared by our girls and our boy. Not too kiddish, not too girly, not too boy-y!

I came by way of Living with Lindsay and I'm so glad I did. I am loving what I have seen of your blog so far. And the shower curtain giveaway is great! I just noticed last week that my cheap and boring one (that I have had for entirely too long) has ripped off of yet another curtain ring. Any more and my floor is going to get soaked! I live out in the boonies so there are no GWs around me. This beautiful shower curtain would be a HUGE improvement!
