I'm trying my hand at some cable knit pillows right now for my mom. They'll match her living room nicely!

Suzanne- I saw those peppermint sticks at Cracker Barrel just the other day!

Suzanne, I think the peppermint sticks may look deceivingly large in the photo. They are about 4" tall and 1/2" thick. They are Bob's Sweet Stripes, and I found them at Walmart. Dollar Tree has the really big ones that are about 12" long and 1" thick.

I am in awe at all of these wonderfully creative ideas that you have shared. I've got my jars/bowls and candlesticks. I bought the glue. So now I will be making some of the jars that you shared. Thanks again for sharing these gift ideas. They are all great.

I don't have any finds to put up today, but just wanted to say that I love the recipe holder/frame. That is just as adorable as can be.

I don't have a thrifty gift idea to share right now, but I am definitely using some of your great ideas in my home like the peppermint sticks in the jars and framing the children's artwork

I just love the inspirations you have shared with us! :o) Thank you so much!
I just posted a question on my blog. Can you help me? Thanks! Trish

I made some rice heat packs on Friday. I made both the long skinny ones (because that is the shape I like best) and the squarish ones with the chanels like you showed. I used dropcloth fabric, and it worked perfectly! I will be making some pretty covers to complete the gifts. I think my husband will be taking one set for his work gift exchange. It will be something different from the usual coffee shop gift card. So thanks again for the tutorial!
