I didn't do a whole lot of thrifting this week, but was able to make my trip to United Volunteers yesterday for 25% off. As soon as I walked in the door I spotted this....
I also got 6 pretty silverplate iced tea spoons for about 35c each.
Now you can share your finds with us!

It appears that Mr Linky isn't working...kind of late in the day to discover that! Christina of as time goes by did a post so I'll put it here. Let me know if you have/had a post to link up, and I'll add yours.

that's a great deal on the typewriter!
Beautiful! I wish I had a thrift store near me with prices (and great stuff) like that. We have a Goodwill (actually, there are two of them) and there is never anything wonderful and the prices are way too high.
VERY cool buys! I know I had a typewriter (I begged for one for Christmas when I was in middle school--weird, I know), but don't know if my mom got rid of it or not. What will you do with yours? :)
how cool is that , girl!!!???? have fun with it!

Oh my goodness, that was a great deal on that typewriter!
That is the most awesome typewriter. And the price is just so exciting. Oh my, I hope to find a fun typewriter one day.
We are joining in today and I'm late as usual. Look forward to coming back and visiting links after supper.
Love your finds! I learned how to type on a typewriter just like that one! They are really good ones! Love the iced tea spoons too!
Oh my Holly, this brought back memories! when I began working in radio news, back when calling the police meant you got a desk sergeant saying, "Hey, they've got a GIRL doing the news!" --- I actually USED one of those old Royal typewriters.
Those old hulking manuals were in every newsroom across the USA -- they were the only things that stood up to all the abuse, pounding, cigarette smoke and spilled coffee!
I used a manual Royal to write articles right up till I got my first computer in the 1980s and could use a dial-up modem to send articles to the newspaper I worked for then.
Wow. I've got a huge poster of an old manual near my desk now. . . a little reminder. Sadly, my husband still pounds a computer keyboard the way he used to pound a Royal manual way back when.
We go through keyboards like water.
Thanks for the memories!

Ohh-I'm jealous! I went to an estate sale just for an old typwriter. They wanted $29.00-too much for me. You lucky duck.
What a great deal on the typewriter! Those are so cool! Love the silverware also!

Have you seen the jewelry made from old typewriter keys? In case someone finds one too damaged for any other use.
And Holly, thank you for showing where the comments go!
