Thrift Store Thursday—10/1

You have until 11:59 tonight (Thursday) to enter my giveaway.

The winner will be announced Friday. And how awesome is this…I found instructions here to automatically number comments! That will make giveaways so much easier!

Also, after today, I will be hosting TST on a monthly basis. The next opportunity to link up will be November 5.

I have an exciting idea, which is really just in the fledgling stages, but I’m thinking about opening a little Etsy store to sell some of my thrifting treasures. In fact, I have a few things already earmarked for that purpose. What do you think?

Now, on with the show…

A few weeks ago I threw out my 9” cake pans. They were rusting and I was fed up. The metal ones always get gross, except for aluminum, and I try not to use aluminum for health reasons. So, I was happy to find these two Pyrex cake pans for $1.49 each. Nice, inert glass.IMG_4093

At Goodwill I found these two Johnson Bros Ironstone bread and butter plates for $.50 each. Replacements lists them at $5.99 ea. IMG_4091

At a church thrift store I got this enormous frame for $4.99. I was thinking ‘cork board’, but this is kind of fun, don’t you think?IMG_4096

And at the same store, I scored this cream and sugar set. Research revealed that it is Bubble Milk Glass by Anchor-Hocking 1934-1965.IMG_4090 I bought it for my future Etsy shop, but my love for it has grown exponentially ever since I got it home, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to part with it! I mean, I really love it!

MckLinky will be open until 11:59 pm Thursday. (The same deadline as my giveaway!)

I say go for it about opening alittle store! Alot of people can't find what they are looking for in their own Goodwill's.Some are soooo much better then other's. You could even have people have you on the look out for things that they want and will buy from you.I love, love that frame and yes, very fun where it is!

very special finds this week, Holly. I cannot yet figure out how to put a button on my post but I always put them to the upper sidebar.

Thrift store blessings to ya.

GREAT idea on the glass cake pans! Mine are rusted too. I need to get some glass round and square ones. Thanks for the idea! I'm off to register for your giveaway.

Aw man I am seriously coveting the bubble milk glass goodies. I don't have a sugar and cremer set in my collection yet. Pooh!

I love the etsy store idea! I definatly think you should do it.

That frame is giant! I can't wait to see what you do with it. A cork board would be fantastic!
