November Happenings

IMG_4369I know I say this every month, but I am seriously freaked out by how fast time is flying! November? That’s crazy!

On the plus side, I’ve got some big things coming up in November here at the little blog. I’m working on a new design, and to celebrate that, there will be a fantastic giveaway! Really, you won’t want to miss it!

Also, hopefully sometime this month I will get my Etsy shop up and running. I’ve got a nice little inventory collected; I just need to clean it up and get it photographed. Sneak peak:IMG_4373 How cute is this vintage toy telephone? My kids can’t keep their hands off of it.

IMG_4374 This Pyrex bowl is only 6” in diameter. Did you know the ones with the handles like this are called Cinderella bowls?

IMG_4375This little Anchor Hocking vinegar cruet is so adorable! Actually, I haven’t quite decided if I can part with it.

Speaking of the Etsy shop, I can’t decide on a name. I want it to start with Homebody and be non-specific so if I ever want to add handmade items, it still makes sense. So, for example, Homebody Vintage wouldn’t work.

Some ideas I’ve had: Homebody Emporium (probably the front-runner right now), Homebody Cottage, Homebody General Store. I’ll take suggestions, as long as it’s okay for me to use it if I like it. Any ideas?

Hi Holly.
Oooh, I am loving Homebody General Store!!! Homebody Cottage is adorable too. I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to see the whole thing put together.

I hope that your Halloween was fun and that you're finding places to hide all the candy. (In your belly maybe.) Oh no. That's me. lol.

P.S. I would love if you were able to participate with my Inspiration Party on Saturday. ;)

I was just pining away over new blog twmplates... I'm saving my pennies for a winter one. An etsy shop? How exciting! I like that cinderella bowl. my dad was a huge lover of all things vintage and eagles - so I could picture this bowl on our holiday table as a reminder of him. (He passed away on christmas eve- almost 5 years ago. )

Lucky you with a new design on its way. I am sooooo wanting to have something done with mine, but probably need to wait. :)

I'm so excited for your Etsy shop. What about something with "gifts" in the title? Homebody Gifts, Homebody Gift Shop?? LOVE that vintage phone. :)

I like Homebody Shoppe (someone posted above). I also like Homebody General Store. I'm excited for you. :) I have a Cinderella bowl. Never knew they were called that. Mine is white with a blue design and I'm too lazy to go see what it is. lol

Can't wait to see your etsy shop! How exciting! It looks like you already have some great things to offer us :)

As for a name... what about Homebody Market or Homebody Marketplace? Homebody Wares? Homebody Warehouse? Homebody Exchange? Homebody Boutique? Homebody Treasures?

Good luck deciding on the perfect name for you.

How about just "The Homebody Store"? I also like Charlene's suggestion of Homebody Market. Hope you find a name you like. That is what is important.

I like Homebody's Market Wares. I know I'm drawn to homey, cottagey, farmhouse simplicity in the online shops I peruse. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I love Homebody Emporium. Mostly because one of my favourite stores is called the Emporium.

Also, if you decide you do want to part with that vinegar cruet, let me know! I collect roosters and just fell in love with it.

Have I ever told you that I love to give input? I do! I do! Ok. Homebody Goods. I like that best. But, you could go with Homebody Stuff. More relaxed. I look forward to hearing what you select. ~Mindy
