Grilled Pizza

Try making homemade pizza on your grill next time.
The crust is crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, the flavor is a little bit smoky.
It's delicious!

I made pizza dough in my bread machine, but you can even use the frozen
bread dough that you can get at the grocery store (thawed, of course).

Flatten it out into individual-sized portions and put them on a hot grill.

It will firm up quickly, maybe a couple minutes; then flip it for a couple more.
Don't overdo it because you'll be putting it back on the grill after you put the toppings on.

See the nice grill marks?

Craig prefers to take them off the grill, add the toppings, then put them back on.
Don't be heavy-handed with the toppings; you don't want it to be soggy.

By the time the cheese has melted, the edges may be a little charred;
in my opinion, that's the good part!

Delicious, rustic pizza!

Enjoy!

Your pizzas look really good. I've always wanted to try this but never have. I am putting this on my list of recipes to make before summer is over.

Oh yum! That looks so good, how long does making one small pizza usually take? They look so delicious!

YUMMMM!! Those look so very, very good. Thank you for outlining how you did it--I've thought before that this would be good, but I tend to be a little chicken when it comes to trying something new on the grill.

Now for a question: how do you make your own pizza dough in the bread machine? I have a bread machine, but I have no bread machine recipes. I lost my bread machine book, and right now my machine is in the garage gathering dust. Silly, I know. If you have any bread machine recipes or if you have a source for any, I'd love to know!

That looks soooo gooood! YUM! I've been thinking about trying to do pizza on the grill, but haven't braved it yet. Maybe I'll give it a try next week.
