Teacher Love

Remember when you were in elementary school, or even high school, and a school year seemed like forever? Just think of the days that you sat in Mrs. Willman’s fourth grade class; by the time June rolled around, September seemed like a vague memory.

Well, it may be that way for our children, but for us moms, the distance between September and June is the blink of an eye, a sneeze. Yup, school is out in two weeks, and we need teacher gifts, ladies!

I was trolling the internet looking for ideas, and thought I’d share a few that caught my eye.

What awesome ideas do you have for teacher gifts? Do you give one to every teacher each child has, or just the main one?

{Happy Homemaker update: yesterday went well, I accomplished it all except for Craig’s shirts (oops!) and dinner was easy in the crockpot. Today’s pork is marinating, and I’m off to work on Skippy’s room.}

Those ideas are so cute. I especially like the binder clips and the shadow box. Teacher gifts aren't something I have to worry about for a (long long) while yet but those are great ideas for me to keep in mind.

Cute ideas! My little one starts next year so at least I am getting all sorts of ideas for the coming year because it will be here before I know it.

What great ideas! I love the shadow box idea! How cute!

As a teacher, I always enjoyed the little cards which the kids made. I still have some of them tucked away.

I also enjoyed candles, mugs and smiles. The kids are the gifts, really!

I'm a music teacher, and I do get lots of Christmas gifts and some end-of-year gifts, although I have definitely noticed a drop off since the economic downturn.
My vote goes for the letter "A" shadowbox. That is so cute! I just might have to make one for myself because I have tons of colored pencils. The binder clips are cute too, but if you make them, please please please spell out the word "to" rather than use the number 2. Teachers hate when students use the wrong too, to, two, or they're, their, and there. Just my too cents (hehe, just kidding!)
