Back in the Groove

Whew!  I’m glad last week is in the past.  Nephew left on Saturday, and guess what I did?  I went and got my first pedicure.  Ever.  It’s true.  I’m closer to 40 than I am to 30 (gasp!  did I just say that?) and until two days ago, I had never had a professional pedicure.

I had a gift card to a swanky spa that Craig gave me for Mother’s Day 2008, and was going to expire at the end of the month.  Now I know that it was serendipity that I put it off so long, because it was the perfect end to a crazy week.

I hope you aren’t totally grossed out by feet.  I’m borderline, and debated whether or not I should use a photo, but what’s a post without a photo?

So it’s almost back to normal around here (Firstborn is at Boy Scout camp this week, but I’m babysitting again, so still have 3 kids).

Now I need to catch up on the laundry, mop the floor, clean the bathrooms, plan meals, go grocery shopping….  Yup.  Back to normal.

So now that you have had a pedicure do you realize what has been missing in your life all these years?

Lucky you!
I have never had one. I have a weird thing about people touching me feet.
Your toes are looking quite lovely!

Well I am closer to 30 than I am 20 and I have never had a pedicure either. I keep being told that I MUST have one, but I am too cheap. :) Maybe one day I, too, will get a gift cert, so I can experience that slice of heaven. :)

I'm so glad you finally got to experience that little bit of heaven. :) I used to get them regularly, but since having the girls have only had one or two in probably three years. :( It's so relaxing!!

I, too, did not have my first pedicure until my mid-30s. I've had a few, but I am self-conscious about my feet so now I'm back to doing it by myself. I think you have beautiful feet!

I hope every time you look at your toes, you smile. I think it's a cute photo.

I was 40 before I ever had a manicure OR a pedicure!!! I'm so glad for you. I used to splurge on a pedicure but it's almost a necessity because it's too hard to do my own......I am spoiled I guess! :)

Summer feet are always so pretty. Bet you're wearing Flip Flops everywhere you go to show of your hot toes!. . .Winter toes? That's a whole other story, chipped nail polish and hairy ankles don't make for a pretty photo which is why God make socks. LOL
